I guess the question of whether Tiger would win another major or two this year has been answered.  According to a release on Woods' website, the world's best golfer will miss the rest of the 2008 season because of knee surgery.

Is a torn ligament and stress fractures the result of his rushing back to play (and eventually win) the US Open?  The ligament damage stretches back almost 10 months, the fractures just two months.

I'll be the first to admit that I didn't think Tiger Woods would win the US Open.  I believed he would likely make the cut, but I never would have thought that he'd win it.

Could I have been more wrong?

The world's greatest golfer proved again that he has another set of gears that no one else does.  It's something all the great athletes have and Tiger proved that no one else in the world can touch him.  Although, Rocco Mediate gave him a good run for his money.

What's next?  Will Tiger tame the British Open again and finish off the season with a win at the PGA Championship?  If he can hang tough on a sore knee and play 91 holes to win the US Open, I don't think it's out of the question that he could win at least one out of the next two majors.

As Bend, Oregon gets ready to welcome another new course to it's expansive golf community (it's 29th track), the Oregon Golf Association has released the slope and ratings for Tetherow.  From the looks of it, the course is very playable from the tan (intermediate tees), but gets considerably harder from the backs and tips. 

After the walk-throughs I've had at Tetherow, the golf course looks like a must-play if you can get a tee time.
